Polls for Status of the Class

Recently I used PollEverywhere in my classroom as a way for students to respond to their learning goal. This enabled students to think about the learning goal and their progress so far in achieving it. It also allowed me to see, very quickly the status of the class. Students get to use their cell phones in class (which they love) and they can post their responses anonymously. 

First, I displayed the table version of the poll so that students could easily read the learning goal and see what each item on the scale stood for. 

Once students had a chance to read and decide where they were on the scale, I switched to the live version, so they could see the data appear on the screen as students texted their responses.
